Christmas presents are an excellent way to share the love of God!!

Join us to reach out to the poor & needy during this Christmas season.

As Sri Lankan economy has crippled the cost of living has tripled and the poor & needy are finding extremely difficult meet ends meet. In addition to our regular projects, we have been providing quarterly relief to 115 widows / abundant in the remote places in Sri Lanka since Apr 2022. We want to give provisions to these people during the Christmas as well. Cost for 5 will be around £35

DONATE – Sri Lankan projects

This Christmas, we are planning to meet at least some of the below urgent needs during the Economic crisis in Sri Lanka.

1. Provision for widows in the remote villages north & east. The cost for 5 is around £35

2. Study material for poor children in the remote villages in the north & east. The cost for 5 is around £20

3. Monthly cost for evening tuition for 5 poor children in remote villages is around £25

4. Bicycles for poor children who have to walk a long distance to school in remote villages. The cost of a bicycle is approximately £160

5. Financial assistance to widows to start small shops/businesses. Approximately £125 per widow. Bridge of Love – Income generation – YouTube

6. Sewing machines for the poor widows in Mullai district. Cost of a sewing machine is around £175.
Sewing Training BridgeofLove Bridge of Love has trained more than 77 poor widows and donated sewing machines worth more than Rs1,600,00 since December 2005.

This Christmas, we are planning to carry out the following projects in India.

DONATE – Indian projects

1. Bicycles for poor children who have to walk 5 Km to school in remote village near Cheiyyar, Tamilnadu India. Cost of a bicycle is approximately £70

We donated 10 bicycles in 2022 and 5 bicycles in 2021

2. Sewing machines for the poor widows in Cheiyyar. Cost of a sewing machine is  £120

We donated 5 in Aug 2022.

3. Christmas gifts for the 400 poor children in 5 remote villages in Trichy. Gift and snacks for a child will cost around  £20.

Last year, we donated Christmas presents for 350 children in the same area.

4. Food and Essentials for homeless people in Chennai. It will cost £8 per person.

Donating with Stewardship is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give.

In December 2022, we sent more than £2,150 worth of Christmas presents to the poor & needy in Batticaloa, Pita Kotte, Dehiwela and Trichy. Rev Karunanithi, Rev Kathireson and Br Stephen coordinated these projects for Bridge of Love. Jonathan & Lydia Joseph initiated and coordinated a £150 worth Homeless Christmas project, providing hygiene essentials, bedding and lunch packets to the homeless people living in the streets /roadside in the suburbs of Chennai

In December 2021, we sent more than £2,712 worth of Christmas presents to the poor & needy in Batticaloa, Pita Kotte, Dehiwela and Trichy. Rev Karunanithi, Rev Kathireson and Br Stephen coordinated these projects for Bridge of Love.

In December 2020, we sent more than £3,432 worth of Christmas presents to the poor & needy in Jaffna, Batticaloa, Mannar, Pita Kotte, Dehiwela and Trichy. Jaffna Ashram leader, Rev Karunanithi, Rev Kathireson and Br Stephen coordinated these projects for Bridge of Love.

In December 2019, we sent more than £2,950 worth Christmas presents to more than 950 children, 54 widows and 10 disabled in Batticaloa, Valaichchennai, Mullaitheevu, Puthukkudiyirrupu, Pitakotte and Trichy. Rev Karunanithi, Bro Yoganathan, Rev Suresh Paul, Rev Kathireson, and Jayakumar coordinated these projects for Bridge of Love.
